Behind the Design
Melanie Matthews
In March 2023, Melanie and her husband Chris bought a house that needed a lot of love.
Melanie had always wanted to remodel a home. She’d managed several small renovations for family and helped design two new homes with Chris, but had never undertaken a full-house renovation. When they found a 1979 Craftsman with four acres on the outskirts of town, they couldn’t resist. The remodel was the perfect chance to pursue her dream — and the design firm was born.
Creek Coastal Home is located in Spanish Fort, AL which is surrounded by nearly every waterway you can possibly imagine. Melanie incorporates, into every design, the beautiful hues each waterway has to offer. From mossy green to emerald gulf, her designs compliment the natural beauty God blesses us with.
